Cultural institutions witnessed significant management changes. In Hong Kong, the CEO of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA), Duncan Pescod, stepped down on November 28, eight months before the end of his contract, as the project faced more delays. A close advisor to Hong Kong’s chief executive, Betty Fung Ching Suk-yee, was named interim director. Chin Chin Teoh assumed directorship of the three-year-old heritage and arts complex Tai Kwun on April 17, leaving the Centre for Heritage, Arts, and Textiles (CHAT). Following Teoh’s departure, Mizuki Takashi was promoted as CHAT’s executive director and chief curator. The nonprofit Para Site bid farewell to deputy director Claire Shea; Celia Ho was elevated to replace outgoing curator Qu Chang in September.
