Hong Kong witnessed many personnel shifts in the cultural sector. After its November 2021 opening, M+ saw the retirement of Victor Lo Chung-wing as board chair and his replacement with Bernard Charnwut Chan on April 1. From the museum’s team, Lesley Ma, M+’s ink art curator for nine years, departed for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Elsewhere in Hong Kong, in April, 25-year-old nonprofit Para Site selected Rockbund Art Museum curator Billy Tang as its new executive director and curator. Rebecca Ip succeeded Connie Lam as the new executive director of the Hong Kong Arts Centre on August 15.
