The exhibition of four artists “She could lie on her back and sink,” curated by Lisa Beauchamp, was a conceptual exploration of alternative knowledge as embodied by the historically mythic figure of the witch. Though rather than serve as a metaphor for the demonization of nondominant thinking, the witch was deployed in service of deconstructing other contemporary issues: colonialism, transgenderism, and psychedelic utopianism.
