Art Fair Report: Next Stop

People jumped at the chance to hop on a plane again this summer. Once restrictions were lifted, everyone departed, causing ongoing logistical chaos. But for the first time in nearly three years, overseas participants were finally able to return to the sales floors in Europe, while seizing the opportunity to also visit long-awaited European festivals—the Venice Biennale and documenta fifteen. In China, a Beijing show kick-started the year’s art events after a series of lockdown-related delays and disruptions.
